The Hot List: Neutral shades make for subtle yet striking interiors

White is the 'it' colour in fashion circles this season, so why not bring the trend into your home by embracing neutral, calming tones.

1 On the move

Bokja will present its new Migration range during Milan Design Week in April. The collection references stories of movement and change, capturing the experience of bundling up belongings and moving on. The Migration sofa, for example, appears to be carrying a load of rolled up rugs and bedding on its back, while a drawer at its base calls to mind a suitcase full of clothes. The collection's wallpaper and rug components feature stunning motifs of migrating birds. If you can't make it to Milan but still want a Bokja fix, check out the Beirut-based design studio's beautiful Sufi chairs at this month's Design Days Dubai. The chairs will be at the show courtesy of Kuwait's Contemporary Art Platform.

Milan Design Week will take place between April 9 and 12. Design Days Dubai is being held from March 18 to 21

2 Right in white

Indigo Living has unveiled its Spring 2013 collection. Influenced by the pure white, flowing gowns dominating the catwalks this season, Indigo Living has put together a fresh, minimalist collection composed of nine lines. From the Italian-inspired Milan Collection featuring low-lying furniture to the Lille Collection of occasional tables inspired by Asian design, the look is sleek, subtle and minimal.

3 Adler in Dubai

We couldn't be more excited by the news that Jonathan Adler products are now being stocked in Dubai's Valleydez boutique. The iconic potter, designer and writer is best known for his ceramics, but is the brainchild behind a global brand that offers everything from bedding, furniture and bath accessories to candles, rugs, lighting and, most recently, handbags. The brand's guiding motto: "If your heirs won't fight over it, we won't make it" sums up Adler's commitment to creating quality objects that you'll want to keep forever.

4 Write off

Emma Bridgewater's Black Toast Hatch collection is now available at Harvest Home. A classic combination of cream and two-tone black, Black Toast Hatch is covered in swirls, cartouches and elaborate calligraphy. Whether you're looking for a tea caddy or a cake tin, this is bound to add a touch of class to your kitchen. "These are some of the most desirable things we've done for years," says Bridgewater. We tend to agree.
