If you're looking for something a little different to decorate your home with this Christmas, visit the Swiss Christmas Market today at the Beach Rotana, Abu Dhabi from 2pm to 8pm.
For this annual event, the hotel's entire front courtyard is transformed into an open-air "Swiss village" with 35 wooden chalet shops selling a range of handcrafted tree and home decorations and gifts. There will also be a variety of festive food on offer, including a Swiss chocolate kitchen, fresh baked Christmas cookies, hot spiced drinks and plenty of traditional Swiss raclette and fondue to sample.
Choirs from the city's schools will be performing carols throughout the day and there will also be music from the traditional Swiss folk group, Original Appenzeller Streichmusik Alder. Entrance is free.
