How does your desert garden grow?

In his most recent column, our gardening expert

Nick Leech

called on readers interested in showing off their gardens to get in touch.

Inspired by the

UK's National Garden Scheme

,

in which some of the country's best private domestic gardens can be viewed for a small fee which is then donated to charity, Nick is keen to see a similar project initiated here in the UAE later in the year.

Emaar's annual gardens competition for residents in The Springs and Arabian Ranches in Dubai, threw up some impressive results this year (you can see some of the winners below), and we know there are more out there, in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and, of course the Garden City Al Ain, waiting to be discovered.

So if you're proud of your plot (no matter how small) then get in touch. It doesn't have to be anything as fancy as these, but we'd love to take a look.
