The National has teamed up with Design Days Dubai to provide 20 House & Home readers with free access to the show on its opening day, Sunday, March 18. Winners will be given a free Design Days catalogue and will take part in a meet and greet with fair director, Cyril Zammit at 6.30pm.

The first event in the region dedicated to collectable and limited-edition design, Design Days Dubai takes place from March 18 to 21 in a purpose built venue at the base of Burj Khalifa in Downtown Dubai.

The show is open to the public, with tickets priced at Dh50.

Leading design galleries from around the world will showcase more than 400 rare, amazing and iconic pieces of design. With objects worth anything from €500 (Dh2,424) to €350,000 on show, Design Days Dubai will cater to everyone from bona fide design collectors to design students and "design amateurs" looking to purchase (or even just admire) unique objects that they might not see elsewhere in Dubai.

Running alongside the exhibition are workshops, seminars and mentoring sessions by leading design personalities such as Nada Debs, Li Edelkoort, Leo Capote, Amaury and Rabih Hage.

Zammit asks one thing of all Design Days Dubai attendees: "Be curious, and do ask the gallery representatives the story behind the objects that have attracted your curiosity. You will be surprised to discover the process behind them."

Free tickets will be given away on a first-come, first-served basis. Readers can request a maximum of two tickets. To apply, email homes@thenational.ae by Thursday, March 15 at the latest.
