We are three cousins: Dania, who came from Beirut, loves entertaining and creating beautiful and dazzling settings for her guests; Mimi, a designer with a passion for vintage fabrics and tradition, who came from London; and myself, Nadine, who has a love for design and art, and moved from New York to Dubai bringing that love with me.

Our needs brought together elements that are different and emotional. Three passions fused into O'de Rose.

O'de Rose is a charming, eclectic boutique with an Arabic twist. The name is derived from the French phrase "eau de rose" or rose water, which is an essential embodiment of the Arabic and Middle Eastern cultures.

O'de Rose was established in Dubai in 2008 and is located on Al Wasl Road. It offers a unique shopping experience engaging all five senses. Guests are greeted with our signature rose water drink, the smell of burning rose incense and the sounds of our special playlist.

O'de Rose offers clothing, accessories, furniture, contemporary art and home decor by designers and artisans such as Nada Debs, Bokja Design, Karen Chekerdjian, Kafka Goes Pink, Sarah's Bag, Nada Zeineh, Kalimah Brand, Tamer Khalifa and many more.

Each item in the boutique is hand-picked from different parts of the world - with an inclination towards Arabic heritage with a modern twist - and is handmade, and therefore unique. Prices range from Dh100 to Dh30,000.

Our biggest success is that we have managed to attain our objective in elevating the retail experience in Dubai. Our customers tell us that we are a unique boutique where they feel as if they are walking into Ali Baba's cave of colourful treasures.

The most gratifying aspect is that we give back to the community by supporting artisans and creating a market for their products. We encourage craftspeople, whether from craft societies for people with special needs or underprivileged women's organisations, who use their own traditional craft skills because it's a means of living, income generation and economic self-sufficiency, thereby promoting the survival of traditional craft.

People come to us for either gift items such as jewellery, clutches, clothing and home accessories by renowned designers, or to satisfy their own desires. Statement pieces from Bokja or Nada Debs are also some of our best sellers.

We will continue to selectively source products by renowned designers and artisans from different parts of the world that have an inclination towards our Arabic heritage, revisited with a modern design or twist. We are also planning further expansion in the region and on increasing our online presence.
