Al fresco spa in Oman a leisurely experience
Throughout the summer there has been a lot of chatter among staycationers at work about that much cooler spot at the top of Oman's Al Hajar mountain range for a weekend away. Alila Jabal Akhdar is perched 2,000 metres above sea level and offers dramatic views. Now, guests can enjoy the Omani vistas from the resort's al fresco Spa Arbour, which has just opened and offers three treatments – On the Edge; Heart of the Mountain and Reach your Peak. If you are keen on going to the heights to relax, check out what's on offer at www.alilahotels.com/jabalakhdar
Limo, a hearty choice
Peruvian cuisine is having its moment across the UAE right now, and one Abu Dhabi restaurant worth a visit, is Limo. This restaurant, which is tucked away in the Bab Al Qasr hotel is as much about the food, as it is the chef. Luis Manuel is Peruvian, but has spent time in Argentina and other parts of the world, which results in a fusion of international flavours. The dishes feel more like home-cooked meals than restaurant fare, and combined with the friendly waitstaff and the price points (mains are about Dh60), it’s a good choice for a flavoursome night out. Limo is open from Monday to Saturday from 7pm. Call 02 205 3003 or email restaurants@babalqasr.com
