Model Heidi Klum took to Instagram on December 24 to announce her engagement to musician Tom Kaulitz, who is 16 years younger than she. The 45-year-old mum of four was previously married to Seal, who is 10 years older, and dated Italian businessman Flavio Briatore, who is 23 years her senior. ""My boyfriend is many years younger than me, and lots of people are questioning that and asking about it. That's really the only time when age seems to be shoved in my face and I have to give an answer for it," Klum said in an interview when she began dating Kaulitz last year.
Klum is not alone when she notes "I don't really think about it [the age gap] that much". Scores of celebrities are dating or married to people much younger or older than they are, with the gap ranging from 10 years, as in the case of the recently married Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, to a whopping 49 years - American Pie artist Don McLean, who is 73, and model Paris Dylan, who is 24.
Our favourite couple are Hugh Jackman, who is 13 years younger than his wife, Australian actress and producer Deborra Lee-Furness, 63. The Wolverine actor is forever gushing over his wife of 22 years - he's even created the #mydebs hashtag for her - and images of the two show just how smitten he is (see our gallery below).
In the two-decade range are Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones (25 years apart), and Leonardo DiCaprio and model girlfriend Camila Morrone (23 -year age gap), while Jeff Goldblum is 31 years older than wife Emilie Livingston, and Richard Gere has 34 years on Alejandra Silva.
