The International non-profit organisation Global Dignity has launched a new campaign to put values such as compassion, respect and love into action — both online and offline.

Simply called “Dignity in Action”, the campaign launched on October 18 (Global Dignity Day) and is built around Faya, a Facebook Messenger chatbot.

Faya is a French bulldog who invites young people to submit photos and videos of the actions they’re doing in order to build a more compassionate and tolerant world.

Corresponding with Faya on Facebook Messenger, there are three actions that can be chosen:

  • "Do an Act of Kindness" which supports the recently launched #ClickwithCompassion anti-bullying campaign
  • "Play a Sport" in support of Global Dignity's non-profit partner Right to Play
  • "Submit Your Artwork: What does Dignity Mean to You?" in support of Global Dignity's partnership with photographer JR's Inside Out portrait project.

Once an action is chosen, people are asked to upload a photo or video that display dignity and kindness as a way to engage.

“Through this campaign Global Dignity encourages students and young people everywhere to get involved in moving the powerful values behind dignity into action,” says the Crown Prince of Norway and Co-Founder of Global Dignity, Prince Haakon.

Global Dignity's aim is to support young people around the world by helping them recognise and protect their own dignity. The event was celebrated in more than 70 countries with over 400,000 young people.

To chat with Faya, head to m.me/globaldignity and use the hashtag #GlobalDignity to spread the word on the campaign.
