Sunset Overdrive landing in 2014

One of the most ridiculously fast-paced games unveiled at Electronic Entertainment Expo earlier in the year, Sunset Overdrive is a forthcoming colourful, cartoony and tongue-in-cheek open-world Xbox-only shooter set in a city where much of the population has been turned into zombies (which you must, naturally, “deal with”). The developers, Insomniac Games (the same guys behind the Ratchet & Clank and Resistance series), have now revealed that the game will be coming out next year and, much to the chagrin of PlayStation fans who went so far as to sign a petition, have ruled out a PS4 version.

Hobbit to go the Lego way

Following on from last week’s Lego Marvel Super Heroes review, it’ll surprise very few to hear that a Lego rendition of the The Hobbit is reportedly on its way (indeed, we’re just surprised it isn’t out already). According to adverts in Lego Hobbit sets, a fingerless, yellow-faced Bilbo Baggins and his band of dwarfs will be hotfooting it onto console screens to face the lovably blocky Smaug next year, presumably to link with the last chapter in the film trilogy. Expect Marvel Super Hero cameos. This is Lego, after all.
