Game of Thrones stars Kit Harington and Rose Leslie set to marry

The couple released a wedding announcement in The Times, confirming their engagement

It was a romance that wasn't meant to be on television, but hopefully real life will have a happier ending.

Game of Thrones fans will be excited, maybe slightly envious, to hear that Kit Harington and Rose Leslie are engaged, confirms a source to People.

The two played star-crossed lovers Jon Snow and Ygritte on the hit HBO show. Rumours of a relationship started back in 2012.

The couple released a wedding announcement in The Times that seems to have confirmed the engagement.

Leslie's character was killed off in the show near the end of season 4, while Harington has gone on to have a major storyline. The only made their public debut as a couple at last year’s Olivier Awards.

After five years of dating, they also revealed the had moved in together, after buying a £1.75 million (Dh8.59m) house in East Anglia, England.
