Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has deactivated his social media accounts after he posted a cryptic message on Twitter.
He tweeted yesterday: “2019 Resolution: Time to get in touch, for real”, and then seemingly deleted both his Instagram and Twitter accounts where he had 23 million and 7.7 million followers, respectively.
Mo Salah has deactivated all of his social media accounts - with this being his last tweet. 🤔

Anyone have any idea what it means? #LFC pic.twitter.com/kgVUwPoDfU
Naturally, fans of his took to social media to express how they felt:
@MoSalah miss you my king x 😢

I woke up this morning and knew that #MoSalah has deactivated his Twitter account ! cause of those stupid freaking haters and rivals l I'm terribly sad cause I love seeing him tweeting but I don't wanna any one to harass him or distract him from achieving his goal

Love you Salah pic.twitter.com/CJskjznADc
One user even turned it into a verb:
Some are left wondering if it's a possible hint at changing clubs:
Hoping I am wrong but am translating this as Mo saying, "Get in touch". For real could be a not so cryptic call to REAL (Madrid) 🤔😟😟🤔 #LFC #YNWA #MoSalah pic.twitter.com/65JF7tErrW

However, it seems all this might have come from Salah wanting to focus more on his team and helping them win the league.
The star forward has recently come under fire for what some people view as diving.
He's been accused by opposing players, pundits and fans for taking to the ground too easily so it's understandable that he may have wanted to avoid distracting comments on social media.
Not surprised #MoSalah has deleted his Twitter and Instagram after the vile comments I’ve seen !

Who knows how long this blackout will last?
