Vimto cake for Ramadan now being served across the UAE
The fruity beverage and dessert: two staples of Ramadan have been combined for the ultimate treat
Vimto has become something of a tradition at iftars around the UAE. The berry-flavoured drink is a favourite for those breaking their fast thanks to its sugar-derived energy boost, and is a staple for many during the holy month.
Given the popularity of sweets and desserts during Ramadan, it was only a matter of time until the two were combined to create the ultimate iftar treat.
UAE cafe chain The Coffee Club launched the Vimto Milk Cake – a creamy dessert infused with berries and a Vimto-based sauce – and it’s already proving incredibly popular.
The dessert, priced at Dh39, was specially created for Ramadan and will only be available during the holy month.
The Coffee Club has branches throughout Dubai and Abu Dhabi, including at JLT, Sheikh Zayed Road, Yas Mall and Marina Mall.
You'll also find Vimto-themed desserts doing the rounds on other menus across the country this Ramadan. At SugarMoo, for example, which delivers across the UAE, there's a Vimto-infused chocolate sponge cake, with white chocolate mousse and blackberry compote. Costa Coffee partnered with the popular bakery to offer a "Vimto toot cake" at selected stores, too.
