One of New York’s longest standing celebrity hotspots is set to open in Dubai.

Vietnamese restaurant Indochine has sat proudly at the centre of the New York social scene’s exclusive inner circle for more than three decades, opening its doors in 1984.

And now the veteran restaurant is about to enter a new chapter, opening its first outpost outside of its New York flagship in Dubai’s DIFC.

Over the years, stars including Diane von Furstenberg, Julianne Moore, Salman Rushdie, Iman, Calvin Klein, Naomi Campbell, Moby, Anna Wintour, Mick Jagger and Andy Warhol have all been regulars at the restaurant, which doubles up as a late night spot.

While details about its Dubai restaurant are being kept under close wraps, Khalil Dahmash of VKD Hospitality Group told Vogue Arabia that its arrival would mean the “next step in the evolution of dining in Dubai”.

The menu at the New York restaurant, which is decked out with neon lighting and trademark leaved wallpaper, features dishes such as Vietnamese Bouillabaisse and Summer Roll Of Vegetables, although the restaurant is yet to reveal what might be on the menu at the new Dubai branch.

While Indochine has not yet announced an official opening date, you can expect it to arrive in the Emirate in the coming months.
