Here's what to expect at Taste of Dubai 2020
The food fest will be held at Dubai Media City from March 12 to 14
Part of Dubai Food Festival, Taste of Dubai will return to the Media City Amphitheatre from Thursday to Saturday, March 12 to 14. Also returning are sample-size dishes at subsidised prices from 20 UAE restaurants, a bevy of local and international chefs, and live entertainment.
Following chef Gary Rhodes’s death in November, Rhodes W1 will continue tradition and dish up a menu for Taste of Dubai this year.
The culinary line-up also includes restaurants such as La Tablita, Bebemos, Sukhothai, Casa Mia, UBK, Mr Taco, Indego by Vineet, and Al Hadheerah.
Participating chefs confirmed as of now are Michelin-lauded Vineet Bhatia, Nick Alvis and Scott Price; South Africa’s “Giggling Gourmet” Jenny Morris, Spice Prince Reza Mahammad and the youngest Emirati chef Ayesha Al Obeidli.
But it’s not all more of the same this year, as Taste of Dubai gears up to launch the largest outdoor ladies night in the UAE. This includes free entry for women on the opening night of Thursday, March 12, plus two free drinks.
Also new this year is a BBQ Steak-Out segment, hosted by Egyptian masterchef Tarek Ibrahim, Syrian TV chef Mohammad Orfali and founder of Mattar Farm Kitchen Hattem Mattar. The trio will share their top barbecue tips and oversee a live challenge: visitors can test their skills during 30-minute high-voltage grilling sessions on Weber Pulse smart grills, using premium halal Australian beef or lamb.
Finally, Dh55 standard tickets and Dh120 VIP tickets aside, this year Taste of Dubai will offer the Ultimate Taste Experience ticket for Dh199, which includes four food and four drink vouchers.
