Ray’s Grill at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is offering dinner and an unusual show. The restaurant’s Le Petit Chef dining experience uses 3D mapping and projection technology to project a thumb-sized cook on to the dining table to prepare your meal (sometimes to comedic effect).

Diners will be able to tuck into French dishes such as confit duck leg farro and mushroom risotto; beef fillet soubise puree with baby carrots and peas boulangere potatoes; and peach melba for dessert.

Guests can book the experience from Tuesday to Saturday, at 7pm or 9.30pm.

Le Petit Chef Classic, which also has a vegetarian option, is priced at Dh385, while Le Petit Chef Grandioso, with “elevated versions” of the dishes, costs Dh545, and Le Petit Chef Junior costs Dh295.

Reservations can be made by emailing etihadtowers.FBreservations@conradhotels.com.

Italian chef Enrico Bartolini will return to Roberto's Cortina Terrace in DIFC to whip up a gala dinner on Saturday at 8pm.

Bartolini's restaurant received its first Michelin star when the chef was only 29, and his five establishments currently hold a record nine stars – so you can be guaranteed an exceptional experience.

Dubai diners will be treated to a six-course menu with culinary creations such as spaghetti, lemon and caviar; artichoke with ember oil and black truffle; and ox royale and saffron. The meal is limited to 24 diners and priced at Dh2,500 per person.

Bookings can be made by contacting 04 386 0066 or reservations@robertos.ae.

Innovation lies at the heart of the MasterChef cooking show, and Dubai restaurant MasterChef, the TV Experience, too, is constantly updating its dishes and offers.

The latest menu is inspired by head chef Margarita Vaamonde’s Venezuelan roots, and includes a hearty Andean chicken broth; kingfish tostones, cooked al mojo (with garlic) and served with lemon mayo and plantain; Caribbean fish and chips, prepared with whole red snapper fillet, and served with crisp tostones and mango slaw; and Josper beef picanha steak served with clarified butter chimichurri.

The restaurant has also expanded its mystery box experience – wherein chefs need to whip up a meal based on previously unknown ingredients. It is now available daily and on demand at the MasterChef restaurant rather than requiring 48 hours' notice.

The restaurant location under Ain Dubai on Bluewaters Island has launched a new menu for fans of sizzling steaks and seafood. Share a 1.3-kilogram tomahawk (Dh740), try classics such as tenderloin, rib-eye or NY strip (from Dh186), or go all out with a Japanese Wagyu, which is so delicate it can only be cooked on a brick of Himalayan rock salt.

The revamped menu also offers a selection of fresh seafood, including grilled Canadian lobster, Emperor salad (a Caesar salad topped with lobster) and French Fine De Claire oysters. Want the best of both worlds? There’s the option to pair your steak with lobster, crab or jumbo prawns.
