Starting July 23, TT Custom BBQ will host Burger Night every Sunday. The motorcycle-themed steakhouse will offer up a 1 kilogram (2.2lb) patty made from Angus beef brisket and served with almost half a kg of French fries. Diners can then customise their buns with a range of fillings and sauces.

Priced at Dh300 a pop, the whopper of a burger – or as TT describes it: a "meaty beast" – is strictly for diehard carnivores with a very healthy appetite. Those who are actually more health-inclined, can choose the children's option, a miniature version of the burger, priced at Dh89.

The restaurant also serves authentic Turkish grills and roasts, and shishas sourced from Istanbul’s Grand Bazaar. A must-try – if you have any stomach space left – is ayran, a yogurt-based drink, which is poured directly from a traditional Turkish vessel suspended from the ceiling.

The interior is designed to look and feel like a garage, complete with gas pumps for door handles, screw-wrench cutlery and chair arms inspired by fuel tanks. In addition to the biker atmosphere, there is a large outdoor terrace (it can accommodate 150 guests), with customised motorcycle models on display.

Named for Turkey-based TT Custom Motors, the company responsible for designing the automotives seen in films such as The Expendables and Mad Max, the Box Park burger joint opened in Dubai in February, a year after the launch of TT Custom UAE.
