Sugar and spice and all things rock ’n’ roll is what residents in the capital will get at Emack & Bolio’s ice cream parlour from next month.

The ice cream brand from Boston, US, will open its first store in Dalma Mall, introducing residents to 30 original flavours, handmade chocolates and a rock ’n’ roll setting.

The parlour was founded by the music lawyer Bob Rook in 1975. “We’re excited about bringing Emack & Bolio’s to the region for the first time,” says Rook.

“We believe our ice cream rocks, and we’re looking forward to introducing residents of all ages to our range of zany and delightful flavours that they can enjoy in a relaxed, family-friendly environment.”

Flavours to choose from will include Chuck o’ Funk, made of caramel ice cream, Oreos and chocolate-covered pretzels and Deep Purple Cow, which combines raspberry ice cream with white and dark chocolate chips. Menu favourites include freshly made Rice Krispie-covered marshmallow cones topped with ice cream and homemade chocolate fudge, and the signature Emack Attack, a 28-scoop mega sundae.

Emack & Bolio’s will also sell a selection of chocolates that are handmade by its in-house chocolatier Michael Murphy, who will be creating chocolate-covered salted caramel pretzels, Nutella cups and dark chocolate pecan turtles.
