It’s a busy time for Dubai’s ever-growing dining scene, with a number of new restaurants, cafes and bars opening in every corner of the emirate.

If you are looking to discover somewhere new, or try a different branch of your trusted favourite, here are eight new openings to look out for this month…

Unwind Cafe, Jumeirah

Hessa Street’s newest opening is a cafe with a difference, offering more than 500 board games to keep its customers entertained.

From classics like Monopoly and Cluedo to more unusual choices, this new family run venue has enough to keep gamers entertained for hours. On top of the board games, Unwind will be serving up speciality coffees, all-day breakfasts and a range of cakes and desserts.

Larte, Studio City

Italian favourite Larte has just opened its third Dubai restaurant in Studio City. Located on the first floor of Studio One, it is the first of six restaurants to open in the new hotel.

The neighbourhood bistro has both indoor and outdoor seating, overlooking the hotel’s pool and courtyard area, where diners will be able to enjoy Italian classics such as spaghetti Bolognese and truffle mushroom risotto.

Sketch Art Cafe, Jumeirah

For the more creative among you, Sketch Art Cafe is set to become your new coffee hang out. Not only can you get your morning fix, you can test out your artistic skills while you’re at it. Alongside the cafe is an art studio where you will be able to draw, paint, sculpt and learn to mosaic. And for those with less time on their hands, you can try decorating your coffee cup – the ten best designs will make it into Sketch’s daily wall of fame, and may even have the chance to be made into a printed cup at the end of each month.

Phoenix Social Club, Sheikh Zayed Rd

Inspired by the supper clubs of 1930s and 1940s Los Angeles, Miami and New York, Phoenix Social Club is a new cocktail bar and lounge club set to open at H Dubai. The menu has been inspired by a number of different international cuisines, and dishes are designed for sharing. Inside, Phoenix Social Club has been designed with warm tones and aged leather, creating and cosy, atmospheric vibe. Phoenix Social Club is set to open on June 5.

The Stag gastropub, Al Barsha

Classic British gastropub The Stag has just opened its doors at Citymax Hotel in Al Barsha, serving up fuss-free, affordable pub staples. From sausage and mash to fish and chips, The Stag will also be offering a number of deals that won’t break the bank.

Lime Tree Cafe, The Springs

This popular Dubai cafe is set to open its fourth branch in the emirate at the end of this month. Located at The Springs Souk, it’s set to join the mall’s food and drink offering, serving up its famous cakes, salads, sandwiches and take-home treats.

Kulture House, Jumeirah Beach Road

Kulture House is the latest addition to Jumeirah Beach Road’s dining scene, offering an artisanal cafe, concept store, art pop-up and florist. Kulture House takes inspiration from every corner of the globe, and will host regular pop-ups and takeovers. Throughout Ramadan, it has teamed up with No.FiftySeven Boutique Café to offer a specially-curated Iftar.

Offside Sports Bar, Dubai Marina

Opening in the first week of June, Offside is the new Dubai Marina Sports Bar located just off the side of The Walk, Jumeirah Beach Residence. With the largest indoor screen around showing all the top matches and games, the bar is set to become a hub for sports fans with activities ranging from foosball to pool to darts.
