Dubai Restaurant Week 2021: here’s how you can enjoy a fine dining meal for Dh95

Dubai Restaurant Week, one of the highlights of the annual Dubai Food Festival is back, and with it comes the opportunity to sample some of Dubai's tastiest dishes at incredible discounted prices.

This year, the event takes place from Thursday April 10. During that time, Dubai foodies will find that some of their favourite restaurants around the city, will be offering specially curated menus for lunch and dinner, with prices starting at Dh95 for a two-course lunch and Dh150 for three-course dinner.

Some of the restaurants that are participating this year are Gordon Ramsay's Bread Street Kitchen, Torno Subito, Rockfish, Coya, Social by Heinz Beck, Ce La Vi, Folly by Nick and Scott, Bistro des Arts, Thiptara, Nobu, The London Project and The Observatory. There are 42 restaurants offering a variety of cuisines all across Dubai.
Here's a look at some of the dining deals available:

Brasserie Boulud

Helmed by celebrity chef Daniel Boulud, the French fine dining restaurant only opened at Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk towards the end of 2020, making this is its foray into Dubai Restaurant Week.

For the occasion, it has a two-course lunch for Dh125 per person, where guests can choose between a starter and a main, or a main and a dessert. On the menu is a pulled duck terrine, grilled Mediterranean sea bass, grilled hanger steak and pain perdu. It also has a three course-dinner option for Dh250 per person, with options such as the smoked confit salmon, Burgundy snails and duck leg confit.

If taking a picture sat on the restaurant's popular swing (with that Burj Khalifa backdrop) has long been on your wish-list, here's your chance. The restaurant will offer a two-course lunch menu, available between noon and 3pm, for Dh125 per person. On the menu are dishes such as the burrata salad, black truffle sushi rice risotto, grilled marinated baby chicken, chocolate fondant and miso caramel vanilla mousse.

Folly by Nick and Scott

For a taste of the unusual, head over to the Souk Madinat venue, which will be taking part for their second consecutive year. On offer are dishes including the lamb saddle with whipped pine nuts and salsa, crispy hens eggs, pancetta with maple syrup and, for dessert, chocolate, root ginger and milk. The three-course dinner menu will be available for Dh250 per person.

Hotel Cartagena

Gorgeous views of Dubai's skyline and a lively ambience can be found at this restaurant, which is celebrating Dubai Restaurant Week with a three-course dinner menu priced at Dh150. Guests will be able to sample dishes including the smoky guacamole, roasted potatoes served with octopus and seafood ceviche, Argentinian steak with traditional chimichurri; and Spanish-style paella with sweet Chinese BBQ chicken. For dessert, there will be a chilli-laced chocolate bunuelos served with lucama ice cream, a fruit native to the Andean valleys of Chile, Ecuador and Peru; or chocoloco, for chocolate lovers.

The gourmet Indian restaurant by celebrity chef Vineet Bhatia has crafted a three-course dinner menu for Dh150 per person. Enjoy a taste of India with samosa pinwheels, chicken sheekh or coriander fish tikka. For mains, there's a choice between butter chicken, pressure cooker mutton and satvik aloo masala (the latter for vegetarians). Wrap up the meal with a classic kulfi falooda, jalebi-rabdi or caramelised gulab jamoon.
