There's one in Mall of the Emirates, and another in DIFC, but now there's a third venue of Common Grounds, which opened this week in JLT.

The popular Dubai cafe by Tom Arnel – who is also behind spots such as The Sum of Us, Brunswick Eatery, Bar and Terrace, as well as Tom & Serg – has opened in a new spot at Almas Tower, near clusters C and D.

"I'm extremely excited to announce the latest addition to our Bull & Roo family of venues," writes Arnel in a newsletter revealing the opening. "The menu offering is highly creative and delicious, and we have given extra special attention to providing efficient timely service from our a la carte and take away section."

Dishes are created using organic, local ingredients, plus an expert team has been brought in to provide freshly roasted specialty coffee, he adds.

The menu includes a range of breakfast dishes, from a coconut yoghurt bowl to smashed avocado on toasted sourdough and a kimchi croque monsieur. For lunch, which is served from 11.30am, the dishes span a variety of cuisines, with heavy Asian influence. There's the spicy tuna and katsu chicken bowls, lamb kofta and wild mushroom risotto. The selection of wraps and sandwiches include a pressed vegetable moussaka with halloumi, plus a chicken chorizo baguette. For plant-based eaters, there are also a few vegan options, such as the rice wraps and black bean and sesame burger.

As for beverages, alongside the coffee and tea, you'll find a range of "Soul Fuel" smoothies, milkshakes and fresh juices.

A post on Instagram says the team has "tasty plans for this weekend, so stay tuned!" Also adding that "good vibes and big smiles come standard". See you there?
