At.Mosphere is no longer the highest point in Dubai, or the world, where you can sit down for a bite to eat. However, if we're splitting hairs, it is still technically the highest restaurant in the world.

Emaar announced today a new lounge and dining concept, to be spread across floors 152, 153 and 154 of Burj Khalifa, four to six storeys higher than the At The Top viewing platform.

The Lounge at Burj Khalifa will be a "destination that will delight residents and visitors," an Emaar representative said.

An outdoor terrace and sundowners

It will be 575 metres above the ground, and will also have an outdoor terrace – something At.Mosphere doesn't have.

The Lounge will be serviced by the Armani Hotel, located within Burj Khalifa, and will feature live music, as well as a selection of beverages and canapes, high tea, sundowners and a dinner menu.

Visitors will be able to book the experience online, and different packages will be available. High tea is Dh550 per person, and will feature freshly baked goods and one house beverage.

The sundowner and evening experience is Dh600 per person, for unlimited canapes and one drink.

The three different storeys of The Lounge each have a different feel: the first floor has majlis-style coffee tables and couches, while the top floor will have cocktail tables only. The high tea seating runs from 12.30pm to 4pm, the sundowners from 5.30pm to 7pm, and the evening cocktail session is from 7.30pm to midnight.

At.Mosphere opened on the 122nd floor of Burj Khalifa in 2011. It stands at 442 metres above ground, usurping Toronto's CN Tower's 360, which held the record at 350 metres.
