In a city known for its luxury leanings, where you can live in a Versace-designed apartment, drive a Gucci-inspired car and have lunch in a Bentley-themed cafe, it seems only fitting that you should be able to treat yourself to Bulgari chocolates.

The famed Italian jewellery house has teamed up with Meraas to launch the first Bulgari Il Cioccolato in the UAE. Located at City Walk in Dubai, as part of Boutique Le Chocolat, Bulgari Il Cioccolato offers “artisanal haute couture chocolates” or “chocolate gems”.

The miniature chocolates are freshly handmade by a master chocolatier at the Bulgari workshop, and feature distinctly Italian influences and ingredients, such as Sicilian pistachio and Mediterranean saffron. The brand only uses 100 per cent natural ingredients and raw cacao, as it features natural coffee notes and a high level of antioxidants. Innovative flavour pairings available in-store include Gorgonzola and orange peel; coffee and mascarpone; fig and balsamic vinegar; or lavender and salt. And to mark the boutique’s grand opening, Bulgari presented a limited-edition chocolate called Bulgari Dates and Pistachio.

The first Il Cioccolato boutique opened in 2007 at the Bulgari Ginza Tower in Tokyo.
