After a careful examination of what was happening hair-wise on the catwalks at London Fashion Week, Toni & Guy (an official sponsor of the event) has come up with the top three hairstyles they predict will be in vogue.

Lived-in top knots

(See picture above) This is an imperfect take on the classic bun. The trend takes the bun as a starting point and teases it into an imperfect look. Worn on the top of the head, this look is one familiar to most of us with longer hair as it's what we adopt for a day or evening in front of the TV.

This style comprises big, bouncy wavy curls that have a 1950s feel. The retro-looking curls were seen on the Christian Dior, Julien Macdonald, House of Holland and Pam Hogg runways.

Perfect for those in rainy Europe, the wet look was in with designers this season. However, for those of us who live in warmer climes, this means a lot of hair gel (Toni & Guy suggests its label.m gel), or maybe just not washing it? To get the true catwalk effect, you should pull some strands forward and fashion some "kiss curls," as seen in the picture. Or just get some wet strands pulled to the front. The look is something we don't feel too sure about.
