Celebrity-favoured Indian and Pakistani designers will showcase their collections at a fashion and lifestyle exhibition in Abu Dhabi and Dubai this month. The 15th edition of the SoPritti event, organised by the flamboyant Pritti Nanda, will kick off on September 23 at Al Murooj Roda Hotel in Dubai, followed by the Dusit Thani in Abu Dhabi on September 25.

The exhibition will feature the ready-to-wear, eveningwear and bridal collections of designers Rimple & Harpreet Narula, the duo responsible for Deepika Padukone’s wardrobe in the film Padmavati; Reynu Taandon, who has dressed Bhumi Pednekar; and menswear designer Sarab Khanijou, who has dressed actors Arjun Kapoor, Randeep Hooda and Sidharth Malhotra.

The most notable Pakistani designers include: Agha Noor and Maheen Karim, famous for their intricate embroidery work on kurtas, jumpsuits, ponchos and trousers; Ayesha Farook, who does made-to-order kaftans, tunics and dresses; and Gul Ahmed, who offers both stitched ensembles and unstitched fabrics for women and men.

Jewellery designer Queenie Singh, who’s pieces have been spotted on the likes of Katrina Kaif, Kangna Ranaut and Naomi Campbell, will also return to the event.
