When American TV personality and actress Kristin Cavallari stepped out at the 92nd Academy Awards on Sunday, all eyes were on her diamond necklace, created by Saudi Arabian jeweller Nadine Attar.

Stylist Dani Michelle helped Cavallari channel the old-school glamour of Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe by selecting a strapless fitted pale blue gown by Albanian designer Valdrin Sahiti.

Known for its dramatic gowns, Sahiti has found favour with those looking to ramp up their red-carpet va-va-voom, including the likes of Beyonce and Blac Chyna, so was a natural fit for an Oscars award ceremony.

With its sweetheart neckline, Cavallari's decollete dress was the perfect foil for the dazzling necklace and earrings in white diamonds designed by Attar.

In a spot of clever matching by Michelle, the cool blue of the dress accentuated the icy diamonds that came in cushion, round and marquise cuts, for a total weight of 54.7 carats.

The centrepiece of Attar's Eternal Love Collection, the necklace frames the throat in delicate clusters of gems, including posies of flowers and loose petals.

Based in Jeddah, and hailing from a family of entrepreneurs, Attar is a gemmologist, certified diamond graduate, certified gemstone grader and an accredited jewellery professional. Such a heavy grounding in the industry makes her well placed to create bespoke pieces.

Drawing on the natural world, Attar is inspired by what she describes as the "colours of nature, and the diversity of character" it offers. Given that no two flowers or leaves are ever truly identical, this offers a perfect springboard for her deep-seated belief that jewellery should be a personal statement.
