The shoe collection will feature 20 styles and are predicted to sell out fast
Moda Operandi's exclusive collaboration with Prada
To welcome in the new year, Moda Operandi has unveiled an exclusive collaboration with Prada – creating shoes with the famed Italian fashion brand for the first time.
Themed around Prada’s spring/summer 2018 runway collection and its much sought-after kitten heel, the new Moda Operandi offering includes slingbacks crafted in decadent brocades, in rich combinations of pink, gold and chartreuse, and finished with a flouncy bow, creating a vaguely Marie Antoinette-esque air.
Those who prefer patent leathers can take their pick of bubblegum pink, bright yellow and cornflower blue, complete with comic-book-print bows, while the slingbacks also come in luxe crocodile skins, in colours such as tan, deep raspberry and blue/black, this time finished with a polka-dot bow.
Ever aiming to turn things on their head, Prada has wrapped the fabric bow under and around the entire shoe, lending a playful feel to the otherwise serious, grown up materials. The bow is fully detachable. Meanwhile, for those searching for something more ladylike, the slingbacks also come in a dainty moccasin version, which half covers the foot, in elegant tones of taupe, grey and blood red.
“We are thrilled to bring Prada to our customers through this exclusive shoe capsule collection,” says Moda Operandi chief executive Deborah Nicodemus. “Prada holds a unique place in the world of women’s footwear, and we were delighted to collaborate with them on this collection. Launching this is a milestone for Moda Operandi, and we look forward to our continued partnership with the brand.”
Available only on the Moda Operandi site, the 20 styles (including a ballerina slingback flat that will set you back Dh4,120) are predicted to sell out fast. You’ve been warned.
