The set of The Tonight Show was a little brighter last week, thanks to one Arab designer.

The American talk show, hosted by comedian Jimmy Fallon, welcomed Jameela Jamil on Wednesday night, where The Good Place actress discussed everything from taking snacks to awards shows to her online campaign against body-shaming.

For her appearance on the weeknight programme, the British star turned to Lebanese designer Rami Kadi for an ultra-glamorous, one-shouldered creation emblazoned in splashes of orange, yellow, blue and scarlet.

"When in doubt, always wear a gown, always be 'too much'," the body-positivity advocate captioned a still from the show. "Thanks Rami Kadi for the threads ...  last night was a dream come true!"

The dress came from Kadi's autumn / winter 2020 couture collection, and is embellished with feathered floral applique.

The Beirut designer shared an up-close view of the dress in creation, showing how the blooms were artfully created out of brightly hued plumes.

Jamil, who is behind Instagram's I Weigh movement, sported another label from the region this weekend, wearing an off-shoulder gown by Elie Saab for an appearance on The Daily Show.

For the interview with host Trevor Noah, the 33-year-old wore the puff-sleeved, bucolic printed dress from the Lebanese designer's resort 2020 collection.

"I love this Elie Saab dress a lot," the star captioned a selfie of her wearing the design, thanking her stylist, Law Roach, for "bringing it into my life".
