The region's top designers will showcase their spring/summer 2018 collections this October at Fashion Forward Dubai (FFWD). Since its humble beginnings at the Madinat Jumeirah amphitheatre, the initiative has come a long way in the past five years, connecting local brands to buyers and giving them regional and international exposure.

While most recent editions of FFWD, which takes place twice a year, have been at Hai d3 in Dubai Design District, this October the event will move to the Design Quarter (DQ) at d3.

Confirmed brands have not yet been announced, but we're expecting to see FFWD regulars such as Madiyah Al Sharqi, Amato, Zayan the Label, Bedouin and Dima Ayad. We're also hoping to witness the catwalk debuts of some newer labels.

“This October is a key milestone in FFWD’s evolution as we celebrate the 10th edition of the platform in our new home in the centre of Dubai’s creative hub," says chief executive and co-founder of FFWD Bong Guerrero. "With the continued support of d3 and DDFC [Dubai Design & Fashion Council], the platform has become the reference point for regional design talent and a launch pad for international visibility. Each season we introduce new concepts, explore new topics of conversation, discover new talent and deliver a new experience while providing an environment where passion, collaboration and purpose meet.”

Designers who are interested in participating in FFWD should register online at www.fashionforward.ae before July 15.
