Designers from the Middle East have become style go-tos on film festival and award show red carpets, and the 71st annual Emmy Awards were no exception.

Rachel Brosnahan was nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series, losing out to Fleabag's Phoebe Waller-Bridge, but the Marvelous Mrs Maisel actress dazzled in a rich and resplendent blue gown by Elie Saab.

Welsh actress Catherine Zeta Jones joined nominated husband Michael Douglas on the red carpet, wearing a hot pink gown by Beirut's Georges Hobeika for the occasion.

The singer performed at the award ceremony's In Memoriam tribute, but to walk the red carpet she opted for a dusty rose gown by Lebanese-American designer Rami Kadi with Sutra jewellery.
