Known for its minimalist leather purses, the label has now added ready-to-wear to its portfolio
Clothing by Mansur Gavriel launches exclusively at Net-a-Porter
The brand was founded by Rachel Mansur and Floriana Gavriel, and was quickly discovered by elites in the fashion industry, who were attracted to Mansur Gavriel's simple drawstring bucket-bag silhouette at a time when the minimalist trend was just starting to gain momentum. Two years later, the duo introduced shoes to their line – namely mules and sling-backs, and now, they've ventured into clothing.
The candy-coloured coats and neutral-toned autumn wardrobe staples reflect the polished, lady-like aesthetic of the brand's leather accessories. Merino wools and cable-knit cashmere textiles are used for over-sized turtlenecks and sweaters in camel, mustard and off-white hues, and belted coats appear in delectable shades of peach and sky blue.
The collection was shown in New York on September 12. While luxury fashion houses unveiled their collections for spring/summer 2018 at New York Fashion Week over the last couple of days, Mansur Gavriel showcased its autumn/winter 2017 collection, following the industry's increasingly popular see-now-buy-now model.
And though the clothes made their catwalk debuts just yesterday, pieces from the collection are already available online.
