The 63rd Annual Filmfare Awards took place in Mumbai on Sunday night, bringing out a who's-who of Bollywood.

On the awards front, Hindi Medium won best film, Irrfan Khan best actor (for Hindi Medium) and Vidya Balan best actress for her work in Tumhari Sulu.

While the actual show won't be televised for a few weeks, we did manage to get plenty of glimpses of the queens of Bollywood in their chosen gowns.

Here are some of the best looks...

Sonam Kapoor wore Vera Wang and managed to make shorts look very high fashion:

Superstar Kajol wore a red velvet Manish Malhotra gown that glimmered on the red carpet:

Bollywood legend Rekha looked ultra-modern in a minimalist metallic saree (our favourite look of the night):

Nidhhi Agerwal wore a glimmering, go-big-or-go-home Valdrin Sahiti dress. Click to play video:

Neha Dhupia wore a bright yellow Sandy Nour gown. Sandy Nour is a design house known predominantly for its bridal designs:
