A massive Nike store opens its doors in Dubai Mall today, and is home to a customisation space so that you can tweak your laces or tongues, a women's salon where ladies can shop in privacy, as well as a basketball court in which customers can try before they buy.

The shop is spread across 3,290 square metres, making it the largest Nike store in the MENA region. To put the size into perspective, the largest Rolex store in the world, which just opened in Dubai Mall's Fashion Avenue, is 850 square metres. Basically, this is one grandiose sneaker shop.

The new flagship store will see the UAE get more unusual product drops - to mark the opening you'll find the HyperAdapt in store, an athletic shoe that electronically adjusts to the contours of the wearer's foot.

There will also be events held at the store, from run clubs to styling and customisation workshops. You can find more details about those here, it looks like all of the initial workshops and fitness options are booked out, but you can jump on the waitlist for them here.

Nike Dubai is on the 2nd floor of Fashion Avenue, and is open from 10am to 10pm, seven days a week.

The space has a small basketball court where you can try out the sneaks in action.
