5 on-trend menswear looks from New York Fashion Week

Which fashion week men's look could you pull off?

A handful of designers opted to showcase both their women’s and men’s collections in one combined runway show. Here are five standout looks from New York Fashion Week’s menswear showcase.

3.1 Phillip Lim

At an open-air warehouse in Brooklyn, Thai-American designer Phillip Lim proposed his take on fashion’s future: a focus on community, evident in the diversity of the 55 models who walked his show, as well as the range of shapes and garments on offer. There’s truly something for everyone, including this handsome splatter print.

Rag & Bone

The brand’s signature preppy sportswear gets a boost this season through thoughtful layering. Dapper yet easygoing

– and with a hint of bling – we can only wish to look like this every day of the year. “You can go to Rag & Bone and be anyone that you want to be,” says the brand’s designer, Marcus Wainwright.

Helmut Lang

Design duo Thomas Cawson and Mark Thomas have enlivened the Helmut Lang label, a decade and a half after the Austrian artist walked away from his company. Lang’s signature play on minimalism remains, but Cawson and Thomas have also managed to add a dash of exuberant youthfulness, as seen in this multilayered number.

Christian Siriano

A head-to-toe spectacle from Signor Siriano, who has never been shy to push the envelope. While the pattern steals the show here, do pay attention to the magnificent tailoring and those Vans-esque loafers. This ensemble would even adapt well as loungewear – or, dare we say, sleepwear.

Prabal Gurung

This pattern-on-pattern set is highly covetable, displaying the designer’s knack for sensational textiles. We seriously want everything that’s going on here, including that macrame bag number.
