Summertime in the UAE is hot – unbearably hot. And while some spend their days strolling through the country's expansive shopping malls, others opt to cool down in the water. But even if you're spending the day semi submerged at the beach, pool or water park, heat stroke or sunburn are a real danger. Thankfully, Yas Waterworld is launching Neon Nights, meaning that the park will be open after sunset, so residents and tourists can enjoy the attractions in more comfortable temperatures.
Usually, Yas Waterworld closes its doors at 6:30pm. But, from August 25 to September 29 (excluding September 15), the park will be open until 10pm on Fridays. Visitors who have bought day-passes can stay during the extended hours at no extra cost. Along with enjoying the water rides and pools, guests can experience live music and light shows. Glow-in-the-dark drinks and snacks will also be served throughout the night.
“We are very excited about this new experience at Yas Waterworld," says Bianca Sammut, the general manager at the park. "Neon Nights come as the latest addition to our summer activities, giving our guests the chance to indulge in yet another fun and engaging experience that combines spectacular performances and exciting music fusions; illuminating the night at the park for the first time."
