Aside from the fun you can have in the water at Yas Waterworld, from mid-November the Abu Dhabi waterpark will launch a new cinema experience.

Every Thursday and Friday from November 16 park-goers will be able to enjoy Cinema Under the Stars - "the region’s first open-air waterpark cinema”.

There will be one movie screened per evening from 6pm with scheduled films to include family-favourites such as The Lion King, Shrek, Jumanji, and Night at the Museum.

“As we near the end of another successful year, we’re delighted to be the first in the region to introduce an open-air cinema experience to a waterpark,” says Bianca Sammut, General Manager, Yas Waterworld.

“Our promise to guests has always been to provide them with new experiences that bring them together with their loved ones, and we can’t wait to open our doors for the very first Cinema Under the Stars.”

Character meet and greets will follow each screening, which will take place by the Amwaj Wave Pool on Fridays until November 30 and on Thursdays and Fridays until the end of December.

Movie tickets are available at a cost of Dh55 per person, with children under three years watching for free. For more details go to www.yaswaterworld.com/
