A new children's play area and exercise space has been built along the Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The Abu Dhabi City Municipality announced that the space has been created for "residents and visitors" alike, with an enclosed basketball court, along with a shaded area for children to play in.
The authority has not clarified if the space is currently open, nor announced an official opening date.

In the shaded area, there is a play park with a slide and climbing areas, as well as interactive games for the little ones to play, on astroturf flooring printed with musical notes.
The space is located next to Pearl Plaza, in the West 10 part of Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The tweet announcing the new space says that the municipality hopes it will "provide more recreational space for families and children, which will enhance communication among community members and provide modern public service amenities for the city's residents and visitors."
The authority also says the space is a "recreational area for families and children to enjoy".
