Kite Beach's XDubai Skatepark reopens to the public

The park has reopened in time for the Eid break

Dubai’s popular skatepark has reopened to the public, offering skaters and scooter riders the chance to practise their skills over the Eid break.

XDubai Skatepark reopened this week after closing throughout April because of coronavirus safety restrictions in place in the emirate, limiting sport and outdoor activity.

But the XDubai park, located close to Kite Beach, is back up and running, and it’s offering three months of unlimited access for Dh399.

There will be two "sessions", with the park open from 8am to 11.30am and from 3pm to 6.30pm. There was an evening session initially planned, but that's postponed because of the extension of disinfection hours, with people now asked to stay at home after 8pm.

The park features a range of ledges, rails, ramps, banks and blocks, as well as the XBowl, where skaters can practise tricks.

The park will be adhering to strict social-distancing measures to ensure all users are safe and protected.

Entry will be limited to 100 people at any one time, and in line with the UAE’s rules, face masks must be worn at all times. There will also be temperature checks upon arrival.

The park, which welcomes guests of all abilities, offers the rental of skateboards and scooters, although for the moment it will only be accepting card payments, no cash.

Those wanting to get out and about over the Eid break can also make use of the newly reopened Jumeirah and Kite Beach running track, which offers seven kilometres of soft marked track for runners and walkers to enjoy, with some of the best views of the city.
