As the holy month draws to an end, the UAE is gearing up to mark Eid Al Fitr with a number of celebrations.
Among the festivities across the emirates will be free fireworks displays.
While the exact dates for Eid Al Fitr are yet to be confirmed, it is likely to begin on either Monday, June 3 or Tuesday, June 4.
Private sector workers will have four days off for Eid Al Fitr this year, according to a circular from the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation.
The holiday begins on Ramadan 29, or Monday, June 3, and ends Shawwal 3 - which will be either Thursday, June 6, or Friday, June 7, depending on the length of the holy month.
The moon-sighting committee will announce the length of Ramadan closer to the time.
The holiday is a day less than public sector workers will have. Government workers will have a week off beginning Sunday, June 2, and ending Thursday, June 6, according to the UAE Cabinet.
As with previous years, more fireworks displays are likely to be announced closer to the time, but for now, here is where you can see fireworks for Eid in the UAE:
Abu Dhabi
Yas Marina
Yas Marina will be hosting a three-day celebration to mark Eid Al Fitr, welcoming families and friends from across the UAE. Each day of the celebration will end with a fireworks display, which will be easily visible from any of the Marina’s nine restaurants.
Italian restaurant Cipriani Yas Island will re-open for the celebration, offering guests uninterrupted views of the display, while those looking for something a little different can enjoy the celebrations from the deck of a traditional dhow with Captain Tony's Eid Fireworks Fun Cruise.
Dubai
Dubai Festival City Mall
On Wednesday June 5 and Thursday June 6 Dubai Festival City Mall will be hosting a series of spectacular firework displays to celebrate Eid. The fireworks will coincide with Imagine - Dubai Festival City's water, laser and light show, and will take place at 8pm and 10pm each night.
La Mer
La Mer will be marking the first day of Eid Al Fitr, expected on Tuesday June 4, with an impressive firework display. The show will begin at 9pm, with the exact date being confirmed with the sighting of the moon.
Al Seef
Al Seef will also be celebrating with a firework display on the first day of Eid, which again, will be confirmed closer to the time. The show will begin at 9pm.
