Residents in Dubai can look forward to some al fresco fun as the Ripe Market moves outdoors once again.

The popular weekly community event will be returning to Dubai Police Academy Park, Umm Suqeim Road, on weekends between Friday, October 16, and Saturday, May 1, 2021.

Those looking to pick up locally grown produce can browse through wares at the local farmers' market. This season, it is expanding its retail offerings with bread, milk, olives, olive oil, fresh labneh and more.

UAE residents can also explore the local vendors selling everything from organic skincare to handmade jewellery and art.

There will be plenty of activities on offer, too. The Dubai Police will have a full programme including pony rides, marching bands, supercar shows, community talks and safety demonstrations. Mascot Mansour will also be around to entertain the little ones.

Those looking for a bite to eat can explore the culinary offerings from brands such as Boston Lane, The Burger Stop, The Sweetie Shop, Pizza di Rocco, Dickey's Barbecue Pit, Kitch & Co, Konz, La Patrona, The Roost, Broth Lab, Semisweet, Butcha, Projeto Acai and Jomo.

Guests at the park can expect live music including open mic nights taking place in partnership with Dubai Music, and an exotic plant souq. There will also be free yoga classes every weekend.

Meanwhile, children can explore the Animal Care Centre’s Mini Animal Kingdom with locally rescued animals or take part in arts and crafts activities such as painting, slime making and sand art.

The market will be open from 9am to 7pm on Fridays, and from 10am to 7pm on Saturdays.
