Dubailand will be awash with colour this weekend, as Dubai Miracle Garden reopens for its eighth season.

The Dubai attraction is returning from Friday, November 1, with the sprawling 72,000-square metre garden filled with more than 50 million flowers in a fragrant, botanical spectacle.

The annual hotspot, which will remain open until next spring, will welcome 120 varieties of blooms among its displays, as well as a host of new activities and attractions.

This year, Dubai Miracle Garden will include a 400-metre walking track to help visitors trace a path through the floral displays, with the route also playing host to daily entertainment, such as costume parades, Zumba sessions and street performers.

The garden, which is known for its gigantic 3D sculptures created with colourful blossoms, will also welcome a new concept: an "aerial floating lady", dressed in exotic flowers.

Several favourite structures will also return, such as a flower-bedecked castle and the Caribbean and Asian hammocks, while the revamped amphitheatre will feature an observatory to offer visitors panoramic views of the garden.

Dubai Miracle Garden, which already holds three Guinness World Records for feats such as creating the world’s largest floral structure forming the shape of A380 aircraft, also hopes to add a fourth title to its name this year.

The attraction is, however, keeping details of its latest Guinness World Record attempt under wraps for now.

Last year's edition featured an 18-metre floral structure of Mickey Mouse which won a Guinness World Record for “tallest topiary structure (supported)” in February 2018.

Dubai Miracle Garden will be open daily from 9am to 9pm on weekdays, and between 9am and 11pm on weekends. Tickets are priced at Dh55 for adults, Dh40 for children between the ages of three and 12, and free for children under three and people of determination.
