Planning for the model began in September, and a total of 20 chefs from the hotel were involved in making it. “The H Dubai is situated right at the start of Sheikh Zayed Road, and this recreation is an ode the beautiful landmark. With all its towers and glimmering lights, we thought it would be the best way to express the property’s festive spirit and love for the iconic area," says chef Hamzeh Saffaf, who led the team in building it.

Made with only Gingerbread and Belgian chocolate, the recreation of the Sheikh Zayed Road stretches to eight metres long and features a two-metre tall H Dubai building, World Trade Centre and RTA metro station, along with other famous landmarks.

As well as the Sheikh Zayed Road model, H Dubai has built a 60kg reindeer sleigh made from chocolate. The models are part of the festive celebrations happening at H Dubai throughout December, including Christmas brunches, decorations and activities.
