The theme parks on Yas Island reopened for annual passholders and media Tuesday, before opening to the public on Wednesday

After being closed for months due to the pandemic, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros World reopened to the public on Wednesday, July 29.

The theme parks on Yas Island welcomed back annual pass holders and media the previous day with safety measures in place, including face masks, shields and constant sanitisation.

The attractions will reopen with only 30 per cent capacity, meaning that all customers (including pass holders) need to book online ahead of time.

After booking, they can expect to receive a confirmation email that further details the health and safety measures expected, and they are also advised to download a smartphone app for each of the parks to enhance the contactless experience once there.

Other safety measures that guests can expect to be implemented include thermal screening cameras, safe distance markers and modified capacity on rides and at dining and shopping venues. Meet and greets with characters will also temporarily be unavailable. Face masks will also be required.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi opened in 2010 and is home to the Formula Rossa, the world's fastest roller coaster. It also boasts Flying Aces, which features the world's highest roller coaster loop.

There are also rides for younger visitors, such as The Speedway Race and Formula Rossa Junior, which help make it a family affair.

Warner Bros World debuted in 2018 and spans 1.65 million square feet and is made up of five lands – Metropolis; Gotham City; Cartoon Junction; Dynamite Gulch and Bedrock. The park contains 29 rides, restaurants, attractions and shops.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi will be open daily from 11am-8pm.
