Egyptian actor Yasmine Sabri has been named as the latest ambassador for Cartier and its Panthere De Cartier collection, making her the first woman from the Middle East to be named to such a role for the company.

Her role has just been unveiled via a new campaign, and film entitled Into The Wild, which stars Sabri alongside fellow ambassadors British actors Ella Balinska and Annabelle Wallis, and Italian model Mariacarla Boscono. In another version, Taiwanese actor Chang Chen is also included.

In a nod to the indomitable spirit of the Panthere, that has been inspiring Cartier since 1914, in the video the four women can be seen striding through diverse urban landscapes that include a Parisian rooftop and the famous Shibuya Crossing in Tokyo.

The brainchild of Jonas Lindstroem, the video evokes the feline grace of the famous big cat and includes images of each woman slinking away from camera.

In the campaign, Sabri wears a black jumpsuit as she walks beneath pillars that echo her Egyptian heritage, clad in a gold and diamond Panthere de Cartier timepiece and pendant earrings.

The 32-year-old actress was invited to join the Cartier family two and half years ago, although the campaign is only launching now. She joins the ranks of women who have been drawn to the spirit of Cartier over the years, including Wallis Simpson, Duchess of Windsor; French socialite Daisy Fellowes, and even Jeanne Toussaint, the Panthere creator.

Known for her pro-feminist stance and for seeking progressive rights for Arab women, Sabri is a natural fit for the house, as she is outspoken and successful, having launched her acting career in 2013 when she appeared in the Egyptian series Khatawat El Shaytan.
