The skies remained clear for this year's incarnation of RedFestDXB (unlike 2017's iteration), with some of the music industry's most exciting names converging on the UAE for the annual festival.

Grammy Award nominee (and former member of Fifth Harmony) Camila Cabello was one of the event's performers, with Macklemore, G-Eazy, Jax Jones, Jonas Blue (who replaced Jess Glynne when she pulled out a few days prior to the event) and DJ Snake also jetting in for the occasion, which was held in Dubai's Media City Amphitheatre on February 14 and 15.

Cabello, who rose to solo singer stardom with her hit single Havana, made time to visit the UAE capital during her trip, sharing two shots from the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque with her 30 million Instagram followers.

"I love the feeling of being humbled by travelling to another place and experiencing a completely different culture, it makes you realise how small your world is in comparison to how big the world actually is; how you’re only living one version in a million of the human experience," the singer captioned her post, as she posed in front of the building in traditional dress.

"At the same time travel makes you realise we’re not really all that different," she added. "I wore a hijab to be respectful when visiting this mosque and at the store this really sweet girl helped me put it on. We didn’t speak the same language, but she was smiling as she helped me, and it felt like she was a close friend. I can’t really describe it, but experiences like this give me such a special feeling of being really close to and really loving people."

Here, we've rounded up some of the best social media posts from the festival's stars, to see how they spent their weekend in the Emirates.
