More than 1,500 stores are joining together to offer Dubai’s shoppers huge discounts as the emirate’s biggest shopping festival gets under way today.

The 24th annual Dubai Shopping Festival starts from December 26, with a 12-hour super-sale that will see brands across some of the city’s biggest malls offer discounts of up to 90 per cent.

From midday to midnight on December 26, participating stores across Mall of the Emirates and City Centres Deira, Mirdif, Me’aisem, Al Shindagha and My City Centre Al Barsha will be slashing prices across fashion, accessories and homeware. But if you can’t make the 12-hour super-sale, fear not, as DSF will be running until February 2 – offering 39 days of deals.

It wouldn’t be a proper spectacle in Dubai without fireworks – and shoppers won’t be disappointed. Every weekend throughout the duration of the festival, the sky will light up with sparklers, with huge firework displays across Global Village, The Beach at JBR and Dubai Creek. This also includes a particularly dazzling show on New Year’s Eve as part of the DSF celebrations.
