HRH Queen Rania of Jordan chose a clutch by Sarah’s Bag, the luxury handcrafted Lebanese handbag and accessories label, to wear to a dinner hosted by the Spanish royal family last month. It was the same silver-toned Arabesque box clutch that Queen Rania carried at the UN Foundation for Gender Equality Discussion in New York in September.
The Jordanian royal also opted for a hand beaded design with Arabic calligraphy by the label for the wedding of the then Crown Prince of Spain in 2004.
Sarah’s Bag is a brand which has been helping to empower women in the region since 2000, employing 200 underprivileged artisans to create its signature bags.
“Queen Rania is the ultimate Sarah’s Bag woman: a woman of impeccable style and substance who has also campaigned for the empowerment of women and girls.” says the company’s owner Sarah Beydoun, “We are thrilled she chose to wear a Sarah’s Bag at a special occasion like the UN Foundation’s Gender Equality Discussion”.
