Furla is a handbag label that seems like it has been trying to make a comeback in recent months. And, by the looks of it, the brand is indeed gaining more popularity all over the world. The Middle East is no exception – regional “influencers” have been brought on board, with fashion personalities such as Saudi designer Alaa Balkhy and Dubai-based blogger Zahra Khalil, and have posted Instagram images of the label’s latest My Play Furla range, which offers interchangeable front flaps.

The Italian handbag brand has also just announced its collaboration with global e-tailer Shopbop.com. The range of bold patterned handbags featuring depictions of jungle animals, are available exclusively through Shopbop. Furla is commonly known for its classic cross-body silhouettes and practical shoulder bags, and these new designs mark a major deviation from previous, more basic, collections.

If you do have the urge to flaunt a zebra- or panther-printed purse, complete with three-dimensional ears and a tuft of (unfortunately, real) fur, then look to Furla’s latest designs for Shopbop. For those who prefer a more understated, but still bold and vibrant bag, the range also includes tropical birds and tiger designs.
