DUBAI // New seaplane safaris have been launched making it easier for the public to see some of the rarest wildlife in the country.

A Dubai-based tour operator is now offering a range of packages to Sir Bani Yas Island, west of Abu Dhabi city, starting from Dh2,999 per person for a day trip.

“We are very proud and privileged to have partnered with Anantara in this new service,” said Stuart Wheeler, chief executive of Seawings.

“Sir Bani Yas is a magical place with so much to offer and by making the island more accessible we hope to bring a lot more of this magic to residents and visitors alike.”

The new service is also in partnership with the Tourism Development and Investment Company in Abu Dhabi.

The nature reserve, which is 170km west of the capital, is home to more than 13,000 animals and more than 200 species of bird and marine life.
