More disabled facilities for Dubai parks

The project will see more facilities installed, with work already started at Al Twar 1, Al Muhaisnah, Al Warqa and Al Barsha.

DUBAI // More facilities for those with special needs are to be added to parks, the Public Parks and Horticulture Department at Dubai Municipality has said.

Mohammed Abdulrahman, head of the department, said most parks in Dubai already have disabled facilities, such as wheelchair accessibility, parking spaces and toilets, but he said the project will see more installed, with work already started at Al Twar 1, Al Muhaisnah, Al Warqa and Al Barsha.

The project will also involve the upgrading of existing facilities, said Mr Abdulrahman.
