Emirati youths trained for tourism jobs
ABU DHABI // One hundred and ten Emirati students are about to graduate from the Abu Dhabi Tourism Summer Youth Camp.
The three-week camp is to end next Thursday with an awards ceremony at the Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel.
The camp, led by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), is part of the Emiratisation of the capital's tourism industry.
An even number of women and men from the ages of 15 to 17 were invited to the free camp, which included workshops and seminars on Abu Dhabi's potential as a tourism destination and the services offered by ADTA.
"Many of these young Emiratis have discovered Abu Dhabi as a tourist destination for the first time," said Nasser al Reyami, the tourism standards director of ADTA.
Ten places went to Emirati students with special needs.
